The Freelancers Union has advocated on behalf of independent workers since 1995, giving its 500k+ members access to education, resources, community, benefits, and a powerful voice.

 Over the years, Instagram became Freelancers Union’s main connection with its audience of creative, independent workers.
With that in mind, I developed a process to uncover cultural and behavioral insights that led to a visual and conceptual approach for their Instagram page.

The end goal was to engage creative freelancers into a desired community that inspires and provides knowledge, tools, and relational opportunities.
